20-21 EN3311: Poetic Practice
The course is designed to introduce students to a range of contemporary experimental poetic writing and to situate the students' writing practices in relation to debates and directions in contemporary poetics. The course foregrounds methods, processes, and techniques used by experimental writers and aims to provide students with range of methodologies for writing and thinking about experimental and avant-garde poetic production. Students will be encourage to try out a range of writing processes and practices (‘writing through’) to engage with critical and theoretical issues, to reflect on their own written work produced for the course. Students will develop their own poetic practice in relation to the reading of contemporary and innovative poetics.
