20-21 PM5002: Operations and Quality Management

The objectives of this module are:
  • To bring to life and master concepts of operations and quality management – across services, manufacturing and engineering
  • Understand  techniques organisations use to manage processes and operations to gain a competitive advantage
  • Understand the lean approach's to process design
  • Help students understand how business operations work and why they often change (generating a need for projects)
  • Understand specific tools to measure, control & change processes including  trends in global process management
  • Appreciate specific techniques for controlling quality e.g. TQM
  • Understand business drivers for innovation and continuous improvement
