We will then look at topics such as ethics in marketing, how companies can use information to make decisions and also how marketeers can develop propositions that truly add value to customers. This module develops your commercial knowledge and equips you for a career in business. It also gives you a solid foundation for your second year studies.

It will also explore existing trends in business and management with an emphasis on personal learning and development. It will enable students to evaluate their personal skills, identify skills needed for internships, placements, and graduate jobs and develop skills to fill any skill gaps. Additionally, this module will enlighten students on the use of the library, referencing styles, and accessing online resources. In this module, you will be introduced to academic writing skills, presentation skills, personal development. Additionally, you will be assisted to understand the interview process, continuous professional development and personal evaluation. This module will provide in-depth knowledge about the nature of international business, the influence of national culture on managerial decision making, the impact of the international business environment on multinational operations, and the various modes of entry into international markets. In this module, you will be introduced to theories of internationalisation used in business and management studies as well as knowledge on various types of business operations world.
